long blondes sound like debbie harry singing motown with gang of four providing the rhythms. yeah, it's nothing new, but the songs are so damn good. plus their hella stylish and pretty and have a retro thing going on which isnt amazingly corner.

and they have fairy lights on stage.

He's called Caribou now IIRC after some wrangles with some old boy.

similar vein to Four Tet really. Just trying to remember anything at all about the album of his I have, and failing. But if you google Manitoba and Caribou you'll find all you need i suspect.

I LOVE Roisin Murphy. She's gorgeous and her solo album is quality too. But anyway. Richard Hawley is from Sheffield - that album is pretty good.. ?

That Long Blondes song was good, so cheers for that one - will keep an eye out for them coming Manchester way..

As for Caribou/Manitoba - forgive the link to Pitchfork , but despite it's pretention, it gives enough of an idea of what the music's like i think.
