Well, I SHOULD be going to see Biffy Clyro, Million Dead, Sikth, Reuben and Oceansize at Bukandskit on Sunday, but exams.....must take precedent. The c*nts. So I will console myself with the thought of Glastonbury on the horizon.

Taken from the Green Day thred, sorry in advance for the bad spelling which I can't be bothered correcting;

Quote:
Ah mann, it was soooooooo excellent last noight, by far and away the best show ive been to. Hard Fi opened and were surprisingly better than i thought they'd be, and out of the 3 support bands had the best sound. Taking Back Sunday were pretty ordinary and Jimmy Eat World were good, despite the poor sound quality.

Lovely weather, we sat/lay out the grass for all the upport bands and watched off the screens while topping up our tans

Saw Green Day back in february and this was far superior, they played Hitchin' A Ride also, after Longview (was missed from the setlist above)

Apart from getting people up to play, they got a young lad, under 5yrs old i reckon up to squirt the crowd with a suyper soaker and then got him to start the crowd clapping, awesome

I really can't put accross how f*cking brilliant it was and im sure i missed loads out

Where was everyone else stood/sat?
Just finished booking tickets for the next couple of months;

Aug 17 - Cribs @ Birmingham (Academy2)
Aug 18 - Artic Monkeys @ Oxford (Zodiac)
Sep 16 - Reel Big Fish @ Birmingahm (Academy)
Oct 15 - KT Tunstall @ Birmingham (Academy)
Oct 29 - Ordinary Boys @ Birmingham (Academy)

For anyone who has been to Academy2 in Birminghan, is it the same venue as the Academy?

I almost went to a gig at Academy 2 last month but didn't. I got told it was the same entrance but obviously just a smaller capacity room.
Academy 3 is the bar, right?

I believe so, which is next door. I'm thinking the Academy2 might be upstairs by a bar i was stood at.
