On a plus note, 2 QPR players called up to England U21 squad...Mancienne and Blackstock.

What has happened to the cash we got from the Lee Cook sale?
I thought that had bought us a couple of month's breathing space.

I see Brevett is rumoured to be involved with the new Swindon owners.

Did the sensible thing and didn't even enquire about us then.

Will transfer my affections to Fleet in the event we go under. Sinton \o/

I also don’t understand how we can be teetering on the brink of admin when we have just sold Lee Cook for £2.5 million, finally got all the season ticket money in, received £750K from the premier league, slashed our wage bill (Gallen, Bircham, Lomas, Royce etc all gone).

If we are really that close to admin surely we should be touting the likes of Blackstock, Rowlands and Jones to other clubs to bring in more cash to stave it off but I’ve heard no rumours at all.

With regards to the takeover this is from skysports news today...

“Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladini has confirmed that Renault Formula One boss Flavio Briatore is interested in a takeover of the club.

But Paladini has also admitted the club could fall into administration at the end of the month if a deal is not agreed.

QPR stressed earlier in the week that the club was not for sale, and denied reports linking Briatore and fellow Formula One magnate Bernie Ecclestone with a £30million takeover.

However, Paladini has now revealed that a price has been settled with Briatore, even if the terms of the agreement remain unstable.

Rangers must pay a £1.3million bill to the Inland Revenue by 1st September and Paladini is anxious about what could happen if the deal falls through.

"There is now a huge concern over the club's future," Paladini told the Daily Telegraph.

"Flavio has made it plain that if one decimal point moves on the agreed price, he doesn't want to know.

"There is no-one else ready to step in."

The `one decimal point` thing means it looks like a price has been agreed. All very speculative but hopefully Caliendo will want to get some money for his shares from Briatore rather than see us fall into admin (or not I suppose depending on his agenda)

yeah, same stuff as JC posted earlier.

I have no idea where the money has gone, but it wouldn't suprise me if it has vanished. Either into agents/owners pockets or as part of the loan and re-financing agreements in place.

Conversely, as I still believe Gio is making most of this Broatore stuff up, it could also be a ploy by him to get potential suitors to put up or shut up.

Either way, I stand by my original sentiment that Briatore and Ecclestone won't be at the club anytime soon.

Ecclestone seemed very outlandish but Briatore because of the italian connection seemed a viable bidder.

Agree that GP could be making it all up to try to encourage other bidders to come out of the woodwork but admin is looking pretty likely if thats the case.

Plus with us possibly getting -10 points it's going to be a real battle to stay up, once we are in the relegation zone on minus points it could be a real mental struggle to get some momentum going again.

I'm personally of the opinion that Briatore has been mentioned simply because he is Italian. Don't trust Gio at all, and until Flavio comes out and says he's even asked about us in passing, I'm firmly in the "utter horsemanure" camp.

He's a crafter b*gger is Gio. And if we do go into admin he can quite easily say "well I tried to get a rescue package together, but my hands were tied", by leaking this story. Automatically making him out to be the good guy.

Funny that.

God I'm cynical.

Think I'm right though. Particularly that second point, thinking about it.

Flavio doesn't seem to be aware of any urgent business in South West london...

Surely he'd be there in person for a £30 million takeover bid...
