Indeed I was first in. So important to get off to a good start this year, but the fixture list hasn't helped us particularly in August where we'll be missing Gilberto for a spell. Am pleased we're playing Newcastle (Bolton) before Fat Sam's really got his feet under the table later in the season.

Playing Newcastle and Blackburn in the first week will set the tone for the season. If we can win both games then we're unlikely to have two harder away games and we can have confidence that we're serious title contenders.
If we don't...

As Nickyh said, that first week will very much set the tone for the rest of the season. Pretty sure it'll either be unbelievably good, or an absolute nightmare, and I doubt it will end up in any middle ground.
The pessimist in me usually shines through, but I really think we have a cracking season ahead of us this year.

Having said that I still think there is a signing or two left in us (and without Henry & co leaving). So all that could change by the time the season kicks off.
