The subtext of this season has been a debate over whether Dexter's monster was created by the cargo container or whether Harry created him. Doakes is correct, Dexter does have a conscious which suggests he isn't completely sociopathic and therefore he might have been saved by therapy early in his life.

Did Harry teach Dexter to the code in order to harness his "evil" tendencies towards good as he tells Dexter or does he teach Dexter to fulfill the vigilante streak within Harry. His committing suicide suggests he may have realized he created Dexter into a monster to precisely the latter. Such guilt could make him suicidal.

Just watched the last two episodes, and just wow. Don't want to say too much until everyone has had a chance to catch up, but that is some stunning TV.

So sad that Dexter, which is clearly the best thing on tv by a mile can barely fill a page with comments, but heroes season 2 goes on for like 7 pages :S

Heroes thread more than a season long, plus benefited from the comics and 360 experience never really stopping, so had 52 weeks worth of discussion in a year.

The thread is also full of pages of complaining about the show, which you just couldn't do with Dexter, really has been one of the strongest shows this season.
