Biohazard screening means getting blood out of the country ain't easy, so like Doakes said, he wanted everything in place before he brought it with him.

Best show on TV atm. My only concern is that with season 3 all tied up and the situation there're in, it seems Doakes will be the fall guy

The only thing I don't like about this show is that the agent of the "deb" actor has apparently snuck in a no nudity clause or some such.
There has been multiple perfect opportunities.
But we got the chick from Hustle, so I'm happy.
I still have no idea why Doakes went to Haiti or whatever. He can't arrange a friend of his to analyse whatever he needed in the country?

I don't watch any series now except South Park.
However, when I saw this I really wanted to see more but FX dont seem to keep a regular schedule.
Frustrating. I hope it keeps up its dark side and doesn't puss out like lots of other shows that start promisingly.

Stuff with Harry just gash this week, makes no real sense at all. He knew what Dexter was, from a very young age, and spent, what, more than 10 years training him? He even told him who to kill for his first victim. To suddenly be so repulsed by it all as to kill himself? He was a cop ffs, he knew exactly what he was creating in Dexter, no excuses for writing that shitty.
Stuff with Lila just so ****ed up, Batista to get fitted for rape now, absolutely nailed on. She'll then use it to blackmail Dexter. At least she'll get butchered soon though.
Also wondering why Dexter didn't bring up the Haitian guy Doakes shot in the first series, the war criminal? Yeah he was a nasty piece of work, but Doakes claimed to only kill people in the line of duty, and that death stands out like a sore thumb, much more along the lines of Harry's code.

| Completely disagree.
Its one thing to teach your son to keep safe so he doesnt get caught and to only get people to deserve it, as it said in the show one could even build it up to make it seem noble in their own head, but then to see and realise what you have created is obviously going to have a huge effect, I mean what do you expect him to do? Tap dexter on the back and say 'good job'? And again, its hardly an extreme to kill him self, its his own son.
The mind see's what it wants to see, its very easy to block out the reality of what he was doing.

Dexter's voice-over summed it up nicely. It's all great in abstract theory, but another thing witnessing it in practice.

But Harry did alot more than just teach him to be safe, he taught Dexter everything. How to stalk his victims, how to take them down silentylu. How to prepare the scene, how to kill his victims in an efficient manner. How to cut up and dispose of the corpses. This was not just book learning, this wasn't some teacher seeing his lessons twisted to some other purpose, taken totally out of context, this was Harry, a seasoned veteran cop who's seen alot of stuff in his life, the discovery of Dexter in the cargo container especially, who had also discovered Dexter's handiwork previously, and had used himself as a test dummy for Dexter's early lessons, freaking out totally when he saw them being put to practical use, despite this not being Dexter's first human kill. As for him killing himself, why didn't he feel bad about ordering Dexter to murder the nurse? He actually participated in that murder, he picked the victim, yet he kills himself over some pimp?
I understand the point you guys are trying to make, and under slightly different circumstances would be inclined to agree, but given what has come before, it seems a drastic shift.
