Dexter just so succint in it's brilliance.

I can't see showtime finishing there. The news of it being aired on one of the major networks while this writers strike is on is only good news for the series as well.
Can't wait for season 3.

I'm at The UoE and i've got my first exams in 5 days but I still haven't started revising. That wouldn't be such a problem if i'd bothered to go to any lectures or tutorials

For those of us that have finished watching it, what do you think the possible avenues for next season are?
I can see LaGuerta not letting the whole Doakes thing drop and finding some evidence completely proving Doakes couldn't have been the beyharbor butcher.
Looking at the 2nd books overview it seems that next season could have something with Dexter proposing to Rita as well, which would be quite interesting.

They are no longer following the books though, so where it goes from here is anyone's guess.
Dexter being aired on CBS itself is actually bad news for the show imo, especially given the nature of the show. They will have to gut the show (no pun intended), cutting out some of the best bits, to meet with the rules for non-pay TV shows. The term "heavily censored" has never been more of an understatement.
