Seeing as A-Rod has slapped his 8th HR in his 12th game, how many games will go by before the single season HR record discussion begins?
I say 50 - he'll slow down for a patch of 10-15 games, but then pick it up again and get the media frothing at the mouth.

Tbh, too many writers are too complicit in the A Rod dis machine to reverse gears so quickly. Of course, maybe they could spin that to 'Hey, he's finally just shutting up and playing (like I told him to) and now that he followed my advice, look at the results' which would be a grotesque, but predictable, ploy.
Pujols hit 14 homers in April last season. If A Rod can get near that, and keep it going, then maybe people start getting excited. Right now, he's just riding a streak, albeit a nuclear one. For my fantasy team's sake, I hope it lasts all season.
And I would love to see him leave the Yankees at the end of the year and go somewhere where he isn't surrounded by a bunch of bitchy Heathers.

Can someone explain how the Rockies have gone a game and a half without scoring? At home?
They're currently being one hit through 5. :///
And Phillies bullpen being overly accommodating, as usual. They're also leaving tons of guys on base, as usual.
Jimmy Rollins is hardly to blame, since he's filling up the stat sheet, but when he said Philly was the team to beat, he turned out to be correct in a way he couldn't imagine.

Houston back at .400. Roy Oswalt is one Brad Lidge AGGGGHHHH moment away from being 4-0.
