I was recently looking through some old newspaper cut outs i have in my scrap book of David Seaman, the england internatiol ace,or was he?
I know that it was a long time ago when Big Dave was playing between the sticks and i feel that towards the end of his career he got plenty of stick but to me it was all pointless.
Ronaldinho's "Freak" goal was unstoppable. If you look at dave's positioning he was spot on but the free kick was just out of this world.Sakiri's corner was class and quality.Seaman in Euro 96 and world cup 2002 was class. The corner could have been stopped by scholsey at the back post. The only reason im repeating this event of football is because i feel that this much stick for one minor mistake hurts confindence in a goalkeeper, how can you expect them to play better?!Paul Robinson when he missed the bobble against Croatia didn't get much stick.Seaman got it for another season! So if a goalkeeper especially for us(Arsenal) does a mistake, leave it!Moaning and complaining wont change anything. Jens today fluffed a pass back,no complaints, end of,3 points and no turning back!!!
I think it was just because he made mistakes quite often.
Not really he made two and that was towards the end of his career. HE was Englands best keeper for Ages and they are still trying to find a good keeper to fill his boots. Robinson isn't half the Keeper he was
