hey guys, for sure one of ou will know.
if I go out and get an HDDVD player, and plug it to the TV via components will I still get HD (I know that it won´t do 1080p) - as I have ran out of HDMI sockets.........

Would you not be better getting one of those HDMI switcher boxes than playing it via component?

Not really unless he's got an enormous TV. Component is going to give you a picture pretty much identical most of the time.

Someone AV geek will tell me i'm wrong. In my experience i'm not.

as for the switcher, I already have one - the PS3 and SKY HD box run through that and it is only a 2-1 switcher.
I´d rather not continue to spend, knowing that in X years I will get a bigger and better TV.....I am trying to play the long game here.

Got a few things coming this week (Knocked Up, Deliverance, For the Love of the Game and Bourne Identity) so gonna see how long they take. It it's the same length might start pro-ordering from dvdpacific since it's a quid or two cheaper.

Spiderman boxset blu-ray out Monday while Movietyme are now shipping transformers. Looking forward to getting Ratatouille if it is region free and die hard 4.
