Watched Sneakers last night. Transfer wasn't great unfortunately. Still at least the movie made up for it.
Got Brotherhood of the Wolf for tonight. |

You know how when you're in the 360 dashboard or playing an XBLA game and itmakes a gentle hum? And then when you play a disc game it gets really loud indeed?
How much noise does the 360 make with the HD-DVD addon when you're watching something?

I kinda know what you mean. I've just stuck Batman on and there is a hum, but I only noticed it by muting the sound. So it's not that loud for me.

Only where I can justify it. Serenity looks amazing, so that was bought even though I had teh DVD, likewise MI:III.
No way i'm replacing stuff like......I dunno, let's say stuff I really love ike Before Sundet came out on Blu-Ray. I really wouldn't see the point in spending extra to have that in high def, especially when the PS3 upscales so well.

What's this upscaling all about then? Just improves the quality of the dvd when played on the PS3?
There's some dvds in my mind that I wouldn't mind replacing at some stage if I hear that the new ones are much, much better.

Yeah, upscales it to match the pixel count on your HDTV. Some stuff looks the same, some a lot better, it varies.
I'll be replacing stuff like Black Hawk Down depending on how good the high def versions look.
