"Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said *Sikora* with a smile as he talked to SION reporters.

Wednesday, July 25th, 2018:
500 Homers for Express Slugger
The Nashville Express defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-1 yesterday in a game that featured Iain *Bartholomew*'s 500th career home run.

In the clubhouse, the Express catcher spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?"

On his historic day, *Bartholomew* banged out 1 hit in 4 at-bats and scored 1 run with 2 runs batted in.

Sunday, July 29th, 2018:

The Red Sox third baseman went 1-4 in a losing cause as Minnesota spoiled the party with the 6-2 victory.

In the postgame interview, a downhearted *Danger* told the media, "We lost -- It's not about individual accomplishments -- we lost."

Major League Baseball News: Playoffs begin
What began months ago as a dream is now reality.
The trade deadline has past, along with all of the GM wheeling and dealing.
Contract negotiations are on hold until another time.
Front office work is all but on the back burner.
Now it's time for each club, player, coach and manager to put their own unique imprint on Major League Baseball history.
Nobody will remember the free agent who got away last winter.
No one will care about the trade that fell through right before the deadline.
People will remember just one thing about the playoffs -- the team that wins the World Series crown.
That's the reason they play the game.
The Divisional Series starts today with these match-ups:

Oakland Athletics versus Toronto Blue Jays
Kansas City Royals versus Boston Red Sox
San Francisco Giants versus St. Louis Cardinals
Cincinnati Reds versus Philadelphia Phillies

Caught 58 times.

You just ran whenever you got on base, didn't you?
