Veteran 3B *Banach* Settles on Mariners
Seattle management was cautiously optimistic this afternoon as Ant *Banach* formally signed a $72,540,000 contract with the organization. Known for his flippant, carefree attitude, and for his lack of loyalty to a club, many in the upper echelon feared the temperamental third baseman would cause a scene, or, worse yet, back out of the deal at the last minute. Neither happened, and the fans are warming up to the deal, provided *Banach* confines his talking to the diamond.
