| Yes, but Brazil will probably have to choose between Engenhão and Maracanã, and no way Engenhão will be chosen in this case.
Although we can have two stadiums in one of the cities hosting the WC, it's unlikely will do that, as the other states would complain that there are games in Rio that could be played elsewhere. Brazil is too big to justify having two stadiums in the same city hosting WC games.

That's stupid, unless there are better/equally as good stadiums in other states. I don't know really, because i haven't seen them all.
Anyway Engenhão >>>>> Maracanã tbh |

Anyway Engenhão >>>>> Maracanã tbh | It's not stupid, we don't host WCs every year, so we have to have WC games in as many states as possible. Imagine how it would be if Europe as a whole hosted the WC?
Every country would want to host games. This is the problem we have in Brazil. Every state want to host games.
There will already be problems regarding which city hosts the opening game, who hosts the final game and who hosts Brazilian games.
I guess São Paulo will host the opening match, Rio will host the final and several different cities will host Brazil's games.
Maracanã >>> Engenhão
Engenhão is pretty much a "generic stadium", like all these modern ones that have been built recently all over the world. It doesn't have the history Maracanã has nor is Engenhão as loved as Maracanã is. :thdn:
If it was to demolish one of them, I wouldn't choose Maraca, I would choose Engenhão to be demolished.

Besides all the above, there is also the maximum capacity problem.
Engenhão can only be expanded to a maximum capacity of around 60k people.

Up
Goiás vs Arsenal starts at 17:15 (21:15 in London) this Saturday.
Brazilian teams have never won the Copa Sudamericana (São Paulo, Santos and Inter only reached the semis), so it's about time for us to win it.

Sudamericana: Cuatro choques entre Argentina y Brasil
The Associated Press
Article Launched: 09/17/2007 07:58:42 AM MDT

The article is full of small mistakes.
This round is the Round of 16, not the Q-Fs. And that city is called Goiânia, not Gioania.
