After the weekends perfomance, i think the prioroty for Everton is to get another Centre Back to play alongside Yobo. At the moment our only real options are Weir, Stubbs and Unsworth... who are hardly young spring chickens or cultured defenders.
Peter Clarke is out fo contract in the summer and seems to be destined to be released rather than offered a new deal that i think he merits.
So who would i like in? Well Dawson from Notts Forest seems a good choice, young solid defender with plenty of potential, but could be expensive. If Leeds go down, i wouldn't mind seeing the ex-red Matteo at centre back, but i'm not sure if he'd want to play for us.
The midfield does need a player or two, Millwall's Cahill has been linked with Everton (and about several better clubs) and he's looked good going forward, but we need a defensive mid...
Don't see us getting points off Tottenham or Chelsea and then the games we have left are all 6 pointers
It could be this season

What Everton need apart from some points is... Post #2
spurs home
leeds away
chelsea away
blackburn home
wolves away
bolton home
man city away
out of those 7 teams, we have beaten two (leeds, wolves), drawn one (man city - should have lost) and lost convincingly to the other 4 this season. im very very worried. i can see a draw against spurs, but then going to leeds and chelsea i just dont see us getting anything, chelsea away we usually get battered and this was BEFORE they spent 110million, and leeds are fighting too so i can see them beating us. blackburn are not doing well so i can see our one and only win there, or we could do what we did against boro and draw, same with bolton at home could go either way. wolves away i can see them beating us coz they COULD stay up and we are awful away, and then city on last day if it comes to that game to stay up then i dont like our chances.
if we go down we'll lose Yobo so have no decent central defenders, gravesen and radzinski will go i reckon and we'll get a cut price deal of around 10million for rooney.
we HAVE to stay up, because if we go down i dont see us coming back

We'll be fine IMO. Beat Spurs at home, and we've had a pretty good record against all the relegation threatened teams throughout the season.
Biggest problem is the lack of a quality central midfielder, followed closely by another top notch centre-back to play with Yobo.
Unfortunately can't see funds being freed up much at the end of the season.

Definately need another centre back. The defending on Saturday was shocking.
