Who would you suggest playing instead of Gravesen?

Gemmill's gone to Preston hasn't he?

Also, how would you rate Steve Simonsen? We're apparently linked with a move for him in the summer...

Apparently he's done quite well at Derby.

I'd be quite happy if we could pick up a couple of wins in the next two or three games and then bring him back and give him a run out in a game like home to Bolton or something.

Also, looking at the way Kilbane played for the Republic in central midfield last week, that's an option, with Osman on the left.

Thankfully he's gone somewhere.

I think he's a very good keeper actually. Not quite top notch, but definitely solid.

Look at the Everton Squad and you want to cry

Baring

Wright, Hibbert, Yobo, Naysmith, Gravesen, Rooney, Radz

Who should all be in the First Team Squad

You have a few players you could call rotations (Made up of good prospects and Journymen old boys who can still do a job)

Mcfadden, Kilbane Stubs, Carsley, Watson, Turner, Osman, Clarke, Schumacer

and then the Please get off our wage bill

Unsworth, Weir, Simmonsen, Gerard, Linderoth, Jeffers, Pistone,

and sorry to say even though the great services provided over the years

Cambell and Furguson

That makes me feel relatively positive actually. Other than moving Naysmith, Linderoth and Pistone to "rotations" (with the proviso that on the rare occasions he's fit Pistone is excellent), and bumping Kilbane further up because he's been excellent for us, I'd generally agree with it all. And keeping Ferguson and playing him for another season (we've not got any choice anyway).

Which gives us a generally good competent of players than can be built on. But desperately need to fill in the gaps.

Nah, I said Hibbert was at right-back. Although he's gone way off the ball this season since his hernia op.

Anyway, I'm not too worried about relegation this season. I think we'll probably win all three of our home games (or get 7 points at least), as we have generally been solid at Goodison all season, and possibly pick up points at Leeds and Wolves, which would leave us quite comfortable.

But we do need to do a lot in the close season if we're to move forward, and having missed the opportunity to do that last year when we'd have been building on success, we now have to do it when we're a much less attractive proposition.

spurs home (lose)
leeds away (lose)
chelsea away (lose)
blackburn home (draw)
wolves away (win)
bolton home (draw)
man city away (winish)

I'm hoping for Joe Cole on loan next season

Why? He's useless. :thdn:

given all the lip service moyes has given Osman, surely he'll have to give him a chance for the sake of his own crediblity?

is symes being released aswell? i'd heard his move to crewe could be made permanent if he did well.

Would like to see Osman. But he's turned into one of those players who's under threat of being considered far better than he actually is, simply because he's not in the team.
