I'm hoping for Joe Cole on loan next season

Considering we've got the joint best (with Spurs) points tally from home games in the bottom half of the table, you don't think you're being a little pessimistic to suggest we'll pick up a grand total of 2 points from games with Spurs, Bolton and Blackburn at Goodison?

At least 10 or 11 points there I think. I reckon you'll get a little bit of luck and aside from Chelsea away none of those games could be considered a write off.

You're perfectly safe, and should gain a top 12 finish at least. Can't explain my reasoning behind this though

Although he's been dire in his last few appearances.

I was in Colchester for some reason or other last season and decided to watch Colchester v Port Vale. I think it was Colchester who had Clarke on loan.
He managed to put in the most inept performance I had ever seen, kept on tripping over himself, the ball, baldes of grass etc.
After about 70 minutes the home fans were all baying for him to be taken off.
Easily the worst centre back I have seen in professional football, and Ive seen Phil Whelan.

We never beat Spurs when it counts though... and our away form has been abismal.
At the moment we keep throwing away games we need need to win in the final moments.

I hope you're right S_B cos these are important 6 pointer games as all the teams we're left to play surround us.

On the plus side we could end up winning them all and look for that 4th Champions League place or even UEFA
