I'm sorry but that isnt even the best penis based story of the week. This is -
A man from Wigan was saved from having his penis amputated after getting a metal ring trapped on the end of it.
The man, believed to be in his late 40s, was taken to the Accident and Emergency department at the Wigan Infirmary, just before midnight on Wednesday.
Doctors tried to remove the large piece of metal, which appeared to be cut off from the end of a pipe but the hospital's ring cutter equipment could not saw through the hard metal.
Surgeons feared the penis would have to be amputated after the ring appeared to be cutting off the blood supply, causing a large amount of swelling.
The hospital called on the aid of two firemen from Wigan Fire Station, who were able to use a mini handgrinder, normally used to cut through pad locks, to cut through the metal.
The man was taken into theatre, where he was given an anaesthetic, before the proceedure took place. The firemen had to place a thin sheet of metal around the penis underneath the ring to protect the skin.
They then cut through the metal, which took around 20 minutes.
A spokesman for the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed fire crews were called out to the hospital just after midnight.
A spokesman for the Infirmary was unable to comment.
