I think it will be that Americans will count as SIs for the Toronto club.

Currently of course there is 12 teams with 6 in each conference.

If Toronto are the only expansion team for next season then there will be 13 teams with one conference having 7 teams.

Is there any rumours of any more expansion teams in the near future?

Seems to me why don't they get a team in maybe say calgary as there is a lot of scottish people who have moved over to that area so get maybe a team like calgary Highlanders or thistle.
calgary's a-league team drew less than 1,000 per match

The match ended 3-2 for Miami, I think. Romário scored twice.

yeah. sounds like it was a good match. we were unlucky to have our captain stretchered off in the 1st minute. hopefully romario nuts up so we can see him in the return

From MLS.net:
Quote:
The Los Angeles Galaxy and Columbus Crew completed a four-player deal Friday. The Galaxy sent Joseph Ngwenya and Ned Grabavoy to Columbus in exchange for Kyle Martino and John Wolyniec. To make room on the rosters, L.A. waived Brian Dunseth and Columbus waived Duncan Oughton.
Bloody hell, looks like LA got the better deal there, even if they got Wolyniec in the bargain. Martino is way better than any of the others traded.

Not really. Martino's rapidly becoming thought of as a bust.

Grabavoy is a good pickup. Sigi working his magic again.

Sad to see Oughton dumped though. He was a fan favorite (he actually stood with the V-Army in Section 137 the final home match of last season telling people, "I always wanted to be up here."), but I guess that knee injury kind of killed his time.

There's plenty of fans here, but it'll have to be marketed correctly and to the right areas of the city, which I doubt will happen. Not to mention they'll have to compete with the stupid 'If it's not the Maple Leafs we don't care' attitude of the media here.

But at least they picked the name Toronto FC over Inter Toronto, so that's a start.
