OK, I've got a network game going on FM in the MLS. Just need to know how the supplemental draft works so I can work out how much I can rob some of the other players by offering them some of my draft picks.

Its basically an opportunity for you to let anyone go that you dont want, kinda dangling them infront of all the other teams incase one of them is interested.
In the past I have witnessed some mistakes by the AI on this, like once when I got Buddle and Curtin, but I havent played in on 06 yet.
All in all I wouldnt get your hopes up as far as good players go, unless you are LA

Aha, so it's like an expansion draft then? Does each team nominate guys for the draft then?
I'm not too worried about it, more curious than anything else. I'm playing as Colorado and through various trades I've ended up with 4 first rounders in the Superdraft, I've got Adu and hae agreed terms with Nik Besagno so I shall be building a cheat team for years to come

Well, kinda, not so much expansion as.....er, kinda like 'spring cleaning'. I think they use the word 'waiver' in there somewhere.
You will/should be asked to nominate which of your players is in the pool. Guys that arent picked up are released from their MLS contract I think.
Good luck.
With Rapids, who has been good for you?
How is Ben Dayan? I really enjoyed watching him last season but found it quite strange that, on a few of his goals, no-one celebrated with him.
I cant think of any Rapids players that deserve to be cut. I'm sure you'll have a vague idea anyways.

Dedi has been pretty good
Kirovski got off to a great start but keeps getting injured, think that's down to the new patch though. Everybody keeps getting crippled every couple of days.
Joe Cannon has been awesome, Mastroeni has been pretty good as well and is attracting attention from some bigger clubs in Europe. N'Kong has good stats but hasn't been consistent at all.
The defence has been pretty poor but hopefully the arrival of Besagno next season will fix it somewhat.

Oh and I totally wasn't expecting the roster rules, I checked the fixture list and there were no limits on foreigners so I scoured the globe looking for cheap foreign bargains but ended up having to let half of them go |

Unlucky!
One thing I have done in the past is sign a decent player from Europe (usually on a free) with the intention of trading him for a US international within the league before a ball has been kicked.
Worked a charm once, backfired more times than it was worth |
