Oh and look after smudger | Cheers BBB. It was planned fairly quickly when we found out Alison was expecting. Obviously the miscarraige then happened, but it was not enough of a reason to not get hitched though.
We are also being linked with Mark Delaney from Villa, on Newcastle Online. Some are suggesting he is under-going a medical as we speak. Not from official sources at present I might add - merely a rumour. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Will keep it zipped until I've seen the lad in a Toon shirt. Not sure what he's like tbh.

I think Villa fans rate him quite highly, Jonny. He has had injury problems in recent years, so he should fit in well here. |

On another forum which I post on there is a post by someone who knows someone who works at the club. Apparently there are four players in having medicals as we type:
Smith
Cacapa,
A Serb (Probably the fella that NUFC.com have been mentioning)
And a Senegalese player.
This source posted stuff about the raids on the club last month, several hours before it hid the media. http://www.nufc-forum.com/nufcforum/...?topic=14246.0
If it happens, thing might be looking a lot more rosier for us. Big Sam certianly seems to be signing some physical players who won't get outmuscled on the pitch, it's also looks as if we are going to have some height in the team as well. All of which are things that in my opinion we have been lacking (Particularly in midfield).

Most likely.
Depending on who we sign of course.
He tends to spend vast amounts of time injured though.

Alan Smith has officially signed a 5 year contract with Newcastle.

Is the Smith signing not a bit strange?
Will he not be behind Owen, Martins and Viduka in the pecking order?
Unless he is going to play in midfield, but he never really settled in that position for Utd.

Shay Given - Steve Harper
Carr - Babayaro - Rozenhal - Taylor - Ramage - Huntington - Edgar
Butt - Duff - Solano - Emre - Geremi - Milner - Barton - N'Zogbia
Owen - Viduka - Luque - Ameobi - Martins - Carrol - Smith
Now that a rather strong team. Especially if we manage to bring in Cacapa and the Serb as well.
Still no left back.
Unless Big Sam is planning on three at the back.
