Didn't realise Joe Joyce was your academy manager. Meet him when doing an audit when he still with the FA overseen the whole of the UK's youth development. He was based in the North East and did most the Level 1/2 FA coaching certs with Boro, Carlisle, Newcastle and Sunderland.
Nice bloke. I'm assuming he took over when Roeder got the job then?

Papers tipping us to sign either David Rozehnal, Habib Beye or Sami Hyypia this week.
Just sign them all.

Yup - think Joe Joyce was brought in when Roeder left the academy to become manager.

I like the sound of Reozenhal simply because he was player of the year for PSG while everyone else was crap. It suggests to me that even if we play absolutely crappily, Rozenhal will still perform.

Was he the French league player of the year or just PSG's player of the year?

PSG, surely the French Player of the Year would go to somebody in Lyon, predictable, but most credible.

from NUFC.com
Despite reports on Monday that Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund were in pole position to capture the signing of David Rozehnal, we understand that the defender is close to making the switch to Tyneside.
The Czech international defender who turns 27 next month is currently on the books of Paris St.Germain where he's the current player of the year.
More news as we get it.
Sounds good
