Although I realised now it doesnt do the 1080 resolutuion or whatever, is that just due to its size? How much difference does it actually make? I only got a new TV to make the xbox look its best really, would be irritating if it couldnt even handle the highest res
Does 720p and 1080i which is what you need for HD so you are getting the best picture from your 360.
Not many tvs have 1080p and untill recently the ones that did have it were very expensive and unless you have a 42" or more you wont even tell the difference although I have not viewed anything in 1080p myself. I know I keep going on about 1080p that is only because if I was buying something I want to pay a bit more so I wont need to upgrade as soon.
Sky only displays it's pictures in 1080i and have no plans to change to 1080p while although games say 1080p on the back of their boxes very few are actually done in 1080p but you can watch HD films and Blu-ray in 1080p and if you buy a 1080p you will be or should be future proof for a good few years.

Tony what do you do for a living to afford all this stuff?
I earn an ok wage and live at home so I dont have as many bils to pay as others which is why I can buy these things and also home cinema people build it up slowly.
It took me about 7 years to upgrade to what I have today. I have been lucky as I have got good deals on my stuff, Sky HD for £150 and free installation for example and I saved £1000 buying my tv online while I bought my speakers about 3 years ago and they are only £250 cheaper now than what i bought them for at the time.

That res will only do 720p i believe, needs a resolution of 1920×1080 or higher to do 1080p.
I thought so... Cheers...
Well that throws one of my options out of the window...
I want a Panasonic...32inch or bigger...capable of 1080p and under a grand. Not been easy. I've seen this but it's slightly over...ever so slightly...If only I could find those same specs but for a 32 inch instead of 42... </BLOCKQUOTE>
