I've seen this plasma TV...but I wanted to know I've seen the equivilent I think of it but it's an LCD...

It's going to be mostly used for gaming...

I've heard that plasma's tend to leave a burnt image...is this true? Should I steer clear of plasma's?

we found this from dabs.com and were contemplating getting it. obviously it is only a 'value' TV so it isnt going to be amazing, but it should do a job yeah?

its just going to be used for TV watching and Wii playing (no speakers connected or anything).

Yay or nay? and if nay, can you suggest something similar in terms of size/price?

help would be much appreciated. ta.
Buy something decent second hand. Check out the AV Forums for some great deals.

I bought a Pansonic LCD TV for my room.

I would like to play some video's from my PC onto my tv. The TV has HDMI, Scart, RGB, Composite and S-Video connections.

I have a couple of ways of doing it:

1) Buy a DVD player that plays DivX, play it via HDMI and it could look class.

2) Buy a cable to go direct from my PC to the TV. I have VGA/DVI/S-Video sockets on the PC.

Whats the best (bearing in mind cost) way of doing this?

Check the box your computer or graphics card came in. You'll probably find a suitable cable there. I have a dual head monitor arrangement set up using my telly for watching downloaded stuff (yes, some porn, I'm not ashamed) leaving my desktop free for surfing, FM etc.

PC came 'cheap' from work, was just the tower, so no cables in there, only cables I found in the office was VGA-VGA or DVI-DVI. My screen has neither input. What cable are you using?

I'm using a S-Video cable which came with my video card, but it can only cost pennies.

Oh I'm not denouncing watching porn on the telly. I regularly sit in my living room in my pants, eating cheesy wotsits and knocking one out to whatever I've put on. Honesty is preferred though.
