If it is a resolution supported by your TV and your graphics card then in effect you are getting 1:1 pixel mapping so text etc will be absolutely perfect.

I'm struggling to find a review of the new Samsung PS-50P96FD. If anyone has seen anything in magazines (or even online) that has this I'd be really grateful to know.

Any thoughts/advice?
The price over here is about £1500.
| I'd go for the 42PF9831 if I were you. I bought it some months ago, it's picture quality is great. It surpasses many 1080p lcd's in that area. The ambilight is great, while Philips's picture enhancing features on that one (Pixel Plus 3, Digital Natural Motion, ClearLCD etc) make the image perfect.
Also the PC link is a great feature, you can hook it up to your network and stream media directly from your hard drive.

Changed my mind again, hopefully for the last time. Panasonic this time
Primarily because of sound quality. It seems to tick all the right boxes, even if it isn't 1080p, but obv it's a bit pointless on a screen that size.

I would go for either of these two as both are 1080p. Sharp is getting great reviews and regarded as one of the best if not the best LCD on the maarket and 37" is now under £800 on line. http://go-electrical.co.uk/view/area/Catalog/section/De...ion/ref/3027?rrrrt=3
If you can afford it I would go for 42" and above, 42" is £907.
