Nay the resouloutioun is poor it should be 1366x768 minimum, higher the resouloition the better the picture having said that it is cheap and it is still HD but I would look for something better.

Can only display 480p which isnt HD (standard sets display that)

I did read on a forum that the US class 480p as HD, but its not really

standard sets do 480i afaik, not 480p.

That TV BBB linked to is classed as Enhanced-definition television which is different from HDTV

I think the standard set is 480i but if you use component it cant make it progresive picture. I think the gamecube did that but 480p is not HD. I thought the tv was HD but if it can't do 720p which is the minimum for HD then I would def give it a miss.
