Skimping on audio is simply silly. Audio is integral to the audio-visual experience. If money is tight, buy yourself some second hand kit from the AV Forums classifieds. There are some really good deals to be had.

I would just like to say thanks to scott for pointing me in the direction of this panasonic it is utterly uttery fantastic the picture on 1080p things like Blu Ray and Virtua Tennis for the PS3 is abosolutely mind blowing and DVD are ace and even SD is ace on it.
Just need a good (but cheap) surround sound set to go with it now.
| How much do you have to spend? Dont forget you need an amp as well. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Dont want to spend much over 400 quid tbh for the whole shebang but less would be good </BLOCKQUOTE> http://avforums.pgpartner.co.uk/sear...terid=36039320 is the sound system I have and I'm happy with it for the money. http://avforums.pgpartner.co.uk/sear...rid=23773575// might be worth checking out as well as I love Panasonic.

| Finally settled on this Samsung unit. Supposed to be delivered on Friday and I can't wait. No more squinting at the text on my standard def TV |

Time for me to take the plunge into LCD/Plasma tellys as my current one is playing up, and I have cash to burn.
Seems that site linked earlier says Plasma all the way, although im drawn to LCD for some reason. Guess I had better start surfing.

Rep Power: 0 | To clarify do you have to buy an amp? Do the speakers not plug directly into the TV and use the tv to power them?
