I tried it but 1080i looks better - less blocky. Might give another go sometime though as I should get a better frame-rate at a lower res.

Both tvs have crap contrast radios. Although ive never seen a TV with a small contrast ratio so not sure how it would look

Well mine is 3000:1, but i think 5000:1 is available now

Try asking on there about the difference in quality between the contrast ratios. I know in theory the higher then number the better, as it has more steps between true white and true black. But not sure how this looks in reality
