Well I've had my 37" Hannspree XV37 YT model for over a week and, although as a TV it's great, as a monitor it's a load of poo. 1024x768 works fine and dandy but getting it to display 1366x768 desktop is seemingly impossible.

I can't comment on it's xbox360 or PS3 quality but I assume they are fine from what I have read on the avforums but if anyone wants one as PC monitor then don't bother.

Do more expensive TV's have this kind of problem? I stupidly assumed a listed spec of 1366x768 WXGA native res meant I could actually use it in its native res. How wrong I was!

Am I right in thinking thats an amazing deal?

47" HD LCD
1080p
1920 x 1080 resolution

Goes on sale tomorrow, as with all Aldi deals probably only a few in every store

Any views on this set.

I know Sharp, Samsung are releasing new 1080p tvs but this is fairly cheap. I'll have a butchers over at AVF as well.

"The 37WLT68 is awesome"

"Yeah - really great"

"OMG - I've just tried the Panny LX60, and its SO much better!"

"I agree - much superior black levels".

"Well, I find the Toshibas black levels very good".

"No way - Tosh BL really suck - totally ruined the experience for me".

"Yep - I swapped mine for a Sony V2000, TOTALLY in a league of its own!"

"I've had the Toshiba for a couple of weeks now, and I'm really happy with it. Super telly".

"Me too".

"Nah - plasmas the way to go - I recommend the new Pioneer range".

1080p is the best picture, but what actually supports it?
