It is indeed - there is no point really not getting one with a HDMI point - given that presumably you may want a HD DVD Player/Sky Box etc in the next few years - and their is a discernable loss of quality if you have to use a scart/HDMI-DVI convertor.

Toshiba model WLT66 is supposed to be very good

Philips model 9731D is supposed to be an excellent tv

I would order from this site maybe, www.HISPEK.com, reason I would order from there is because it is online so should be cheaper and you get 5 year free warrenty oh and you can buy now and pay jan 08.

Very few sets are 1080p but unless you get a tv 40" or over you wont notice any difference between 1080i or 1080p.

If you don't have a HDMI connection, you won't be able to connect HD sources like Blu-ray or HD-DVD (iirc).

Is it common to have to rescan freeview? Just come up with "no signal". Rescanning fixed it tho
