LCD, the Plasma technology isnt anywhere near as refined yet. Although its pointless arguing seeing as they will both last 15 odd years anyway, by which point you will have some crazy brain projector thing. Hopefully.

Was looking at two different tv's, he came over and said the one i wanted wasnt in stock and said he had something exactly similar for a bit less. I looked and it was a 40" plasma. He was really talking it up then i stopped him and went "not really impressed with the pixel definition tbh", he then looked at me then looked at the tv and went "oh ok, well maybe we can find a better one for you".
Going in late next week when their stock arrives to pick up a 40" Samsung LCD for £999. Also asked him if they have any Wii's coming in and he reckons tomorrow, he was a bit thick though tbf so I doubt him on that.
I hate going into places like that as they hunt in packs. Went into Currys to look at my TV and there were about 8 guys all working around the TV section - 2 asked me if i need any help. Bugger off
Although I wouldn't turn my nose up at an LCD if given one, the deeper, more realistic blacks and dark greys of the plasma would the decisive factor in any purchase I made.
