Meh. Disappointed with the loss against Bremen, mostly due to the fact that their rivals really. Losing 2-1 against a team of their quality is not at all bad, but there's always a "grrr, Bremen." aspect to this thing. Third though with nearly half the season gone is really quite good.

Yes it is.

Top 2 of both Regionalligas are promoted to the 2. Liga. The four relegated teams join the numbers 3 to 10 from the Regionalligas to form a 20-team division. Only 4 reserve teams can get into the new third division.

Aachen got rid of their unbeaten status at home tonight. Aachen had the better of the play but didn't use their chances while Mainz had Borja who scored a hattrick to give the game a scoreline that should have been the other way round.

Ismaël leaving Bayern for Hannover

Valérien Ismaël is to leave FC Bayern München after agreeing to join Bundesliga rivals Hannover 96 on 1 January.

Contract
The 32-year-old French defender has signed a contract at Hannover running until 2010 after a move for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of €200,000. Former RC Strasbourg, Crystal Palace FC and RC Lens player Ismaël joined Bayern from Werder Bremen in 2005 for €8.5m and in his first season helped the club to the domestic double, just as he had in his debut campaign at the Weserstadion in 2003/04.

Injury
However, Ismaël broke his leg in August 2006 and made just one fleeting first-team appearance the following April that term. He has since been restricted to three reserve games for Bayern this season after undergoing knee surgery in September, but has passed a medical at Hannover.

Bayern's Altıntop sidelined until 2008

FC Bayern München midfielder Hamit Altıntop will be out of action until the new year after undergoing surgery on torn cartilage in his right knee on Tuesday.

No delay
The 24-year-old will miss the Bundesliga games against MSV Duisburg and Hertha BSC Berlin as well as Bayern's remaining UEFA Cup Group F game against Aris Thessaloniki FC on 19 December, with his side currently top of the section having taken five points from their first three games. "We first thought we might wait until the winter break for the surgery but decided to have it done right away," explained Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.

Busy season
The German-born Turkish international, who arrived in Munich last summer from FC Schalke 04 - where his twin brother Halil still plays - is the only player to have been involved in all 22 of Bayern's competitive games this season, scoring three times in 15 Bundesliga games. Meanwhile, Bastian Schweinsteiger is approaching fitness again after missing out in recent weeks with a knee strain.

BTW-Thomas Hitzlsperger won the player of the month award in November with 46,2% of the votes. Sergej Barbarez was 2nd with 36,4% and Tamas Hajnal 3rd with 17,5%

Just seen Sergej Barbarez's goal against Hertha :eek: :eek: He ran like 60 yards before boshing it in as well
