Better off through Game/Gamplay/Argos though Argos will be a lottery of whoever turns up first for them as they don't do pre orders.

Those are the supposed specs...they are not confirmed. And Nintendo have said they never plan on officially talking or releasing the specs publically. It will take someone taking the Wii apart or leaked documentation to really know...

Saying that I think IGN broke it and there are a number of supposed industry insiders who have Wii documentation and they have confirmed the specs posted by IGN are the real deal 100%. VÃ*ola

I beleive that those specs are the real ones. From what we've seen graphically atleast those specs ring true. As keeps being pointed out everywhere the Wii is a GCN 1.5.

Yes it is very nice. They are using UE 2.5 which isn't bad. I think more then anything it's not about the graphics and more about the art direction these days...and if there is anything that looks a bit iffy developers hide behind some excellent light effects.

I've already seen Nintendo make use of light in Zelda:TP very very well to hide a few iffy textures...like-wise Ubisoft are doing the same with Red-Steel. On Metroid Prime:Corruption there's Bloom lighting on everything...every surface looks sooooooo reflective. :o

The dollars/pound to mhz value of Wii is irrevelevant if you feel that the utility gained from purchasing the hardware is in itself enough to justify the price...
