i know, my plan was to spend my tax rebate on it but the console plus a game or two plus a controller = more than £200, my tax rebate is about £180 and i have done all the calculations and i get £30 a week left over from bills and stuff to live on til christmas. sacrifice that had to be made. plus i still think my mum might just buy me one.

When did you get your tax rebate? I worked from July until September and the company I worked for told me they'd sort everything out and I'd get a cheque, but I still haven't received anything (I was of the opinion the tax year ended mid-September, and I finished work on the 1st).

Oh, OK- so I'm not likely to get anything until about mid-April? Thanks for your help, at least I can budget properly now (I'm at uni, so with the Wii coming out I need some rationing).

I pre-ordered one today and I am number 17. I wanted the sport game so glad it comes free with the console and i want the mario and zelda games.
I have a 360 though and with so many games coming out for the 360 in November I wont know what to play. Is the Wii region free, is it worth importing one?

I'm really hoping for a massive nintendo marketing campaign. I was in the pub last night with a group of mates and the conversation got round to the new games consoles. Over half of them hadn't even heard of the wii. The rest didn't really know anything about it.
Personally, i think my mates are just normal, casual gamers and i think they're the kind of group that nintendo need to hit to get great sales figures. I mean, all nintendo probably need to do is put on a tv advert showing some people playing the tennis game and that'd hook them.
My mates could be utter freaks living in a hole though.
