In France it'll mean "Yes".

Its Nintendo's marketing strategy that games are fun and should be played by everyone, trying to get some new gamers into the market.

Plus in the word Wii, the two i's stand for people playing together.....

As for the major secret...there is one - its something to do with the port or object on the front of the Wii, Nintendo have announced its there for a reason, but wont say what that is...
I know what nintendo has announced about the name. I am just thinking it MAY stand for something else, and Nintendo are trying to divert us...

Another view of it

The longest line in E3 history? You judge!

Nintendo pretty much stomped all over the Microsoft and Sony...

But being honest word is that Nintendo didn't usher people away from the machines because they wanted people to leave happy and feeling like they really got a chance to experience and play with the Wii. Thus if you completed Mario Galaxy demo you could have another go and another go if you so wished.

I gues Nintendo figured it's better to have people upset about standing in line rather then only having 5-10 minutes with a game and being left disappointed because it wasn't enough time to learn to play accordingly...plus all the news about lines etc only adds to under-line the fact that gamers are willing to wait 3 hour or more to play 10-20 minute demo/s.

I really want a Wii, but tbh, the Zelda game just looks like all the out zelda games with a gimmick (the controls). The graphics aren't even that special....

Monkeyball will be brilliant tho

I don't get your Zelda issue...do you want Link to be in space? or a Sci-Fi world?

This is probably the first proper mature Zelda since Oot...Hardcore Zelda fans have waited since the GCN demo shown pre-GCN launch.

Zelda:WW being aimed for a more stylish looking and more fun feeling Zelda. I really enjoyed WW...was very beautiful other's are more rigid in how they want their Zelda's and they don't like the formula messed with.

Btw everything is a gimmick...it's how companies get you to buy their products. It's just that some get labelled "New Feature/s" and others like the Wii...will simply get tagged "Gimmicky" because it's a more obvious attempt to suck you in. :o

There is one thing Nintendo was very smart in doing and that is using your standard remote control as their concept/inspiration...there isn't a person alive that doesn't know how to operate a remote.

The same can't be said for a control pad on a games console...and if your games company out to get everyone and their dog playing video-games...you have to get them to hold the control pad in their hand first and foremost...that's the single most difficult thing a company can do...after that it's hope and wait they enjoy what they're playing.
