I'm going to wait till they release the black Wii. I have a Black DS-Lite, GCN and PS2... Want to keep the trending going.

I'll get Zelda for the GCN...I was hoping Nintendo would do some kind of dual thing where you can decide to either play it with the GCN controller or the Wii way. But since it's separate I guess I'll have to play it the way it was designed to be played originally.

About the specs etc. Nintendo want people to have their Wii's on stand-by/on constantly 24/7. This mean't sacrificing power of the machine. Slightly more powerful GCN and uses as much power as a miniature light bulb (apparently anyway ) which is all centred on Nintendo's Wii-Connect24 service. I'm not sure what direction it is going but from the sounds of it...Nintendo plan on sending content like updates/patches for games and games news, demos for Wii and DS. Also as an example in Animal Crossing, it would allow your friends to visit your town without you needing to switch on/be on...If a developer wanted they could add new content to already released games. Retro are said to want to release multi-player Metroid Prime 3 content later when it's released. Ubisoft have gone on record and said they are looking at adding even more game content later to Ray-Man Raving Rabbids e.g. more mini-games.

I might end up buckling and getting a Apple-white Wii but I do honestly have my heart set on the black...the blue LED down the front just makes it looks so much cooler then the white version.

They shouldn't bother tbh. The Wii isn't for the PES's of this world. I want to play PES with a controller, not faffing about like a dying seal and cursing the fact that i'm turning Ronaldinho into Dean Windass.

Agreed. Wouldn't mind them doing ISS for it like ISS on the N64 though

I agree...

Apparently though Konami are seriously already considering PES on the Wii as the 360 is dead in Japan and if the PS3 doesn't sell as expected and the issue of the open price too combined with the prospect of Japan going Wii crazy then they need to do something on the Wii. Very tricky situation and I'm sure the PES Konami guys are biting their nails at the task of having to create a Wii PES.

The PS3 will sell massively though. Anyone that thinks it won't......well, probably resides in the 360 forum on the AVForums.

They've confirmed 2000 wii points will cost £14 in the UK, so that works out at what black n blue said.
