The same way I can't buy music from the French iTunes store I guess. Dunno. IP addresses or really clever computers or something.

i don't know what they mean by that. given that the kaplan woman said it would be region free, it's odd... as if only the euro version is region coded. that would be so typical. perhaps the online stuff won't be available in europe if you're using a us system?

it's a tenner cheaper in euroland for some reason. considering that kind of thing will no doubt be repeated for the controllers and games and such, if i get a euro one i'm gonna buy it and all the controllers and stuff in ireland or france i think.

£30 for a remote, £14 for a nunchuk is crazy too.

Ah come on, £180 isn't too bad. The £150 price tag people were expecting was surely slightly optimistic.

Don't think it's gonna come with that Wii Play thing though tbh. If it did i would've thought play.com would've mentioned it in the box contents.

So £180 for a slightly modified gamecube that comes with a funky controler, plus another £40 or so for another full controller plus wii points plus a load of other stuff that will at least make it cost £260 to get the console running as you expect it to, also remember online only supports first-party games i.e games by nintendo plus you will be spending £40+ every time on last gen games which also brings me to the point that Nintendo does not have any amazing game franchises either from my perspective.....
i think personally i will pass on this one but good luck to all Wii buyers!
