gaga, where did you see that Wii-Play will be included in the bundle? I can't see anywhere that mentions that.
On Nintendo's site it says:
Quote:
Wii is set to revolutionise the face of gaming when it launches in Europe on 8th December 2006 at an estimated retail price of £179 (249 Euros), bundled with Wii Sports. Accompanying the console launch will be around 20 software titles including Wii Play and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and from third party publishers launch games include: Ubisoft’s RED STEEL, EA’s Need for Speed: Carbon, Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, THQ’s Disney/ Pixar’s Cars and Sega’s Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.
Included with every Wii console is one wireless Wii Remote, one Nunchuk, and the groundbreaking collection of five different Wii Sports games on one disk which anyone can play using simple physical movements.
Having not owned a Gamecube, would it be wise for me to go onto eBay now and pick up a Gamecube controller or two to use with my Wii?
I guess waht I mean is, will gamecube controllers only work with Gamecube games or will you be able to use them on the VC stuff?

Not really even comparable. The games catalogue is gonna be completely different tbh.
I know that.
I have no loyalty to either of the 3 big companies, and I can only afford 1. At £129 or £149 it would have been too cheap to not get one for me, as it is it's barely cheaper than a 360 and I think I would rather pay the extra for that.

Nah, I do know what you mean, but surely the decision is based totally on what you want it for. If you want Pro Evo and Halo, etc, then you have to go for 360 anyways.
I've decided against any kind of 360/PS3 action until they stop bringing out my favourite games for the PS2. PES/WE will continue to sell mostly for PS2, and God of War 2 is coming.
Wii can sit next to that as it's weirder, newer brother.

If you want to play GCN games you'll need the GCN controller.
To play VC games you need the classic controller which will cost you £14.99.
