its not just a gc with a new controller ffs. its a more powerful machine, it has web browsing capabilities, virtual console, backwards compatability, news channels, digital camera display facilities and more.
its well worth the £150 (if it is that) price tag, i would pay up to about £200 for one, im really excited by the innovation.
you can't say sony has 'covered' itself if 'motion sensing' takes off, since they have a vastly inferior version of it than nintendo and it cant do everything that the wii's version can.

So I'm looking at the estimated/predicted/made-up launch list of games, and I must say my irrational temptation to buy another console on launch day has been tempered somewhat. I think I might just get Zelda for my GC in December and leave it at that.
Probably change my mind a million times though.

Obviously, but that's got a grand total of feck all to do with the Wii and motion sensing.

I'm just curious as to why you think a console worth a relative £130 after converting from dollars could be considered expensive upon it's launch. In terms of justified price within the market of the three consoles the Wii is the last of them you should be criticising.

The Wii is using old technology and is $50 less than the tard 360 pack.
You've got to take into account you need:
Classic controllers
Wii-mote/nunchuck (Which costs more than the games ffs)
Possibly another nunchuck (I'm not sure if its packaged or not)
Absolutely millions of batteries over time, PS3 is usb charged and 360 can work wired.
A fairly decent sized memory card.
If it was $250 with Zelda then its a bit better, but Wii Sports isn't even a game, it's a poor collection of mini games.
It will always work out to be the cheapest of the 3 consoles, but for value for money 360 and PS3 are leaps and bounds ahead.

If using logic within your own mind you think the PS3 is good value for money when compared to any console which has ever existed then I dont 100% see the point in debating with you over the issue.
