The representative went on to quash rumours regarding possible production delays apparently due to difficulties with manufacturing that fancy new remote - as reported by a website which got it off another website which has got a mate works down the factory no honest though it's true though swear on my baby cousin's life.
"The reports are entirely rumour and speculation. I can confirm that the Wii is very much on course for a Q4 release, as Nintendo originally stated," the spokesperson said.

a release date in november/december and a nice juicy price in the early £100s and i'll be dead chuffed. i'll also have found what i shall ask for for my birthday and/or christmas :thup:

I have a HD tv but might just get one of these instead of a 360/PS£ - simply for the cheapness and seemingly awesomeness of the control!
Any DS users or anyone know how the wireless network thing works? Do you need to have the internet in your house for it to work or whatever - also is it free?
Any good titles expected for the Wii and all?

it's using Wi-Fi, and unless I'm mistaken you'll need a wireless router nearby to connect. There are quite a lot games coming including franchises for the other platforms. for example, Rayman, Red Steel, Far Cry, Super Smash Bros, a Konami football game (maybe PES), EA are devloping quite a few games for the Wii as well.

ubisoft are providing good 3rd aprty support for the wii. it should have vastly improved 3rd party support when compared the the gc.
most of my most wanted are 1st party titles however

Is the wi-fi free? I have a router in the house but I'm not paying for it (ala the X-Box Live thing).
