Default English Football too stagnant?

It seems every year, it's always the same 4 teams that dominate both the Premier League and the two cups.

I feel that is making our game stagnant, because it seems no-one else can compete and try and break the stronghold they have.

Yes they have the money and resources, but their extra spending seems to put the other teams at a handicap.

Personally I think all teams in the Premiership should have the same transfer funds so that it's a level playing field and all teams in the league can try and compete.

Also, the Big 4 if they win the cups, should miss a year in the competitions, and come back again the following year to allow other clubs take the trophy.

It's becoming a bit like Scotland at the moment, and I think this could be a contribution to England's Euro 2008 failure.

I think there are a number of teams starting to make headway on the big 4 tbh.

Everton, Blackburn, Man City (after investment), and Pompy all have started to show they too can match the Big 4 on the pitch now. Most problems these teams have is a lack of strength in depth, so when a Key Player is injured the understudy isn't of the same quality.

I think we'll see a couple of teams crack into the top 4 in the next 2 seasons.

I personally think Man City could break the deadlock this season, as they have a very good manager, a good side and were not afraid to invest.

Whether they can keep this up until May, I don't know. I'd love a non-Big 4 title winner.
