btw I am not really saying this isnt a genuine condition, I just think it suffers from being one of those things that people self-diagnose when it isnt really the case. Like how people claim to be dyslexic when they're really just bad at spelling, no professional actually ever told them, they just say they have it because a mate suggested it once
I completely understand what you are saying in your posts. It also depends on other circumstances like your job, personal problems etc. A very interesting debate actually.
overeating and weight gain (there is often a craving for carbohydrate food).
Well in Romania it is impossible NOT to overeat and gain weight because everybody is making tons of food for the whole week starting with Christmas and ending with New Year's day.
We make so much food during that period that we could feed the whole of South Africa.

Like I said, I don't think it is that severe but it is definitely affecting me.
The exercise idea sounds good, plenty of walks. The only problem being that it hasn't stopped raining for ages!
just do it, when I went running last year I felt a greater sense of achievement when it was raining than when it wasn't tbh, plus it's kind of refreshing.
Currently doing loads of swimming, and feel much better than I usually do, so I'll assume it's partly due to that as there's not much else changed. The more you do it the easier it becomes too.
i'm not sure SAD is really a condition, but I do get the symptoms occasionally.
its not suprising really, as the human body does, in essance, run on light from the sun, and if you go to/from work in the dark and spend all day in a crappy office under artifical lights then changes are bound to occour

Reminds me of when people say they're allergic to something. It usually boils down to the fact they retched once when they ate it.
