Lots of water before bedtime and then drink a pint when I first get up.
Have only ever had one hangover, that was because I drank half a bottle of vodka as well as 2 dirty pints and numerous other things in the period of 3 hours, adding to this I had litterally just recovered from glandular fever. Stupid I know, but im at university and it was my birthday.

Must agree with Kym there. 10 years ago I could get smashed every night then get up the next morning and do it all again. Now I get nasty hangovers which I never used to experience before. It's not fair. Getting old sucks.
By product of being old. Once folks like yourself and Kym get into your thirties you just don't have the same stamina.
I don't do hangovers. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Ha i do have the stamina, and i am not anywhere near my 30s you git. I dont get hugely drunk, just merry, and i'll still end up with an all day hangover.
Having breached the 30's watershed a while ago, I still haven't fully got round to the fact that my body just can't do it any more.
So my hangovers have the potential of bordering on the horrific.
On the plus side it does give me a valid reason for slumping on the sofa all Sunday watching endless sport.
That works. Hangovers are caused by dehydration so drinking as much water as you can before passing out is good, as is more as soon as you get up. Then a nice cup of tea, some toast with honey to replace the glucose, a couple of paracetamol and a bit more sleep if it's REALLY bad and you should be fine in a couple of hours.
Take it from me - I've had nearly 20 years of hard drinking experience!

40's? :o
****, even I misjudged that one. You look good for your age then
Personally my hangovers are just hideous and end up lasting all day - only happens when I've had too much of course. Although there seems to be a very fine line between feeling fine in the morning and feeling awful, it's always one extreme or the other.
Anyway, never managed to find a hangover 'cure'. I just used to lie in bed all day and suffer it, trying to sleep it off whilst drinking plenty of water etc.
Got sick of them in the end so have given up drinking for a while.
