Do I have to have a points card? Can't I just buy stuff individually like I did with the Halo 2 maps on the xbox?

no, you have to buy a set number of points, which normally means you won't quite have enough in my experience, which i guess is why they do it, to then get you to buy more.

well in that case you have 2 choices, one go into a shop tomorrow and buy a card, or two buy one off ebay and get them to email you the code.

Yeah I'm only after Turtles but don't want to have to spend £15 for a game that's essentially going to cost much less.
