It was indeed the Masters. The only things he has won recently have all been nonranking.
Not sure that there are any players below Hendry in the rankings who have actually won anything either.

Ah, Ding one place below Stephen won an event, but yeah, nobody else.
Plus Ken and ROS won nothing last season and are in the top 5.
Nothing too badly wrong with the rankings though really, they pretty accurately reflect where players have been over the last two seasons, except possibly Williams.

There isn't physically enough ranking events in 2 years for everyone in the top 16 to have won 1 though is there ?

The Telford International Centre will host one of the most prestigious events of the coming snooker season, the Maplin UK Championship.
The world’s elite snooker players will compete in Telford for the first time in over five years following World Snooker’s decision to move one of the sport’s biggest ranking events to the Shropshire venue.
The provisional dates for the tournament are December 3 to 16 and it will feature star names such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, Stephen Hendry, Steve Davis, defending champion Peter Ebdon and 888.com World Champion John Higgins.
The Maplin UK Championship has a rich history dating back to 1977, and now boasts a top prize of £100,000.
Title sponsor for the event is Maplin Electronics, one of the UK’s biggest electronics retailers, which signed a three-year agreement last year.
The Telford International Centre has previously staged two ranking tournaments – the 2000 Grand Prix and the 2002 British Open – as well as the qualifying rounds of the 2002 World Championship.
A spokesman for World Snooker said: "From past experience we know that the Telford International Centre has proved a popular venue for the players, and that there is enthusiastic support for snooker in the area, so we are delighted to be staging one of our biggest tournaments there.
"The Maplin UK Championship is an outstanding event which brings the best players in the world together and will provide great entertainment for fans."
Maplin Marketing Director David O’Reilly said: "Maplin is excited about moving to the Telford International Centre. I think this is an excellent venue to host one of the most important events in the snooker calendar."
Tom Gray, CEO at The International Centre, said: "We are very much looking forward to hosting the Maplin UK Championship in December. It is a fantastic event – not just for our venue but for the whole of Shropshire.
"Since we last hosted a snooker tournament, our venue has gone through a massive redevelopment programme, which has seen the addition of purpose-built conference and seminar rooms, as well as the addition of a second on-site hotel, and a third just two minutes away.
"These developments help to ensure that we are a first class venue worthy of hosting such a prestigious event."
Sarah Bird, Tourism Executive for Telford & Shropshire, added: "We are delighted to welcome the event to the destination and we look forward to working with the organizers and The International Centre to promote the event throughout the region."
Tickets for the tournament are likely to go on sale in August and details of how to book your seats will be released shortly.

| West Midlands... about an hour away from Leicester i would think.
Looking through that list i reckon Neil Robertson will be top 3 by the end of next season. Shame to see 'fearless' Fergal so low down though.
Also, i used to play at Barry Pinches snooker hall in Norwich (right next to my uni residence) and occassionally played on one of his old practice tables. How cool is that.
