AWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas swamped Nebraska 48-24 in the first half Saturday, setting a record for points scored against the hapless Huskers in the first two quarters.
Todd Reesing passed for four touchdowns and Brandon McAnderson rushed for three as No. 8 Kansas scored touchdowns on its last seven possessions of the half.
Reesing was 20-of-28 for 273 yards in the first half for the Jayhawks, one of five unbeaten major colleges teams. His 21 touchdown passes set the Kansas single-season record.
He might also be in line to become the fifth player in a row named Big 12 offensive player of the week after playing the Huskers, who were trying to avoid their first five-game losing streak since 1958. The honor in the past four weeks went to Chase Daniel of Missouri, Dantrell Savage of Oklahoma State, Stephen McGee of Texas A&M, and Jamaal Charles of Texas.
Reesing, a sophomore who still has not lost as a college starter, threw touchdown passes of 13 yards to Kerry Meier, 26 yards to Jake Sharp, 5 yards to Marcus Henry and 13 yards to Dezmon Briscoe. McAnderson scored on runs of 2, 9 and 1 yards.
Nebraska has won 37 of the last 38 meetings in the series, and it's the first time since 1974 the two have met when Kansas had the better record.

| 45 seconds left, ND has it on the Navy 25, 4th and 8, Weiss decides to throw the ball instead of kick a field goal, stupid. QB got sacked, overtime about to begin.

Texas with their third big comeback win against Ok State in the last four years.
28pts, 19pts and 21 pts(in the 4th) were the leads the Cowboys have lost to Texas.

oregon's schedule vs. lsu's schedule
* = ooc
(rankings according to cbs sports)
arizona state - 9....................*virginia tech - 12
*michigan - 14.......................auburn - 16
usc - 17.................................alabama - 18
cal - 26..................................florida - 19
oregon state - 40..................kentucky - 23
*fresno state - 48.................arkansas - 30
*houston - 50.......................south carolina - 36
arizona - 64..........................mississippi state - 54
ucla - 68................................ole miss - 88
washington - 76....................*louisiana tech - 94
stanford - 78.........................*middle tennessee - 95
wash. st. - 79........................*tulane - 108
average ranking (oregon) - 47.4
average ranking (lsu) - 49.4
1-loss oregon with a tougher sos than 1-loss lsu, and that's even considering the bias behind auburn, alabama and florida being the highest ranked 3-loss teams in the country and south carolina being the highest 4-loss team in the country. oregon's best wins are over 1-loss asu, 2-loss michigan and 2-loss usc, while lsu has beat 2-loss va tech, 3-loss auburn and 3-loss alabama.
oregon's 35-23 drubbing of the sun devils is a better quality win and a higher margin of victory than lsu have managed all year (lsu hasn't won by more than 7 points since the end of september).
lsu schedules weak ooc games and doesn't pay the price, yet kansas isn't considered top-tier because of the chumps they played.
dixon for heisman.
