Haha, are you serious? This is hilarious. You gave me this link to 'prove' that the media was all over Copeland between his arrest and his trial. I think I've demonstrated enough times that I do actually read things when you cite them, no?

So, wait, what do we see hear? The stories are in date order, and there are lots from 5th June onwards. Hang on though, those are reports of the trial. Then before that, we have.....February 24th. Report of court appearance. Before that....22nd December 1999. Copeland on hunger strike. Before that....8th November. Mental assessment. Before that.....5th July. Court date set.

Seriously, I know you're posting at the rate of 100 posts/hour here, but that's pathetic.
That's just on the Beeb. There was loads floating about on him and why he'd done it. </BLOCKQUOTE>

So what was the point in linking to a source that had precisely zero such stories in the year before the trial?

That's complete ********, as shown. The trial of a (Muslim) woman for writing poetry and having some pamphlets gets more coverage than the trial of a (white BNP) bloke with a house full of blowing up gear. When the police raid a house (even when they don't accidently shoot someone in the process) it's front page across the nationals. Except when it's a middle aged white bloke in Goole, suddenly I have to go to the Goole Courier for a mention. Do you remember the 'Manchester United Suicide Bomber' raids? Front page everywhere (plus see pages 2,3,4,7,8 and 9) on the basis that the police raided some houses and found the highly suspicious items of......a Manchester United poster and ticket stubs for games at Old Trafford.
Here's a 17 year old kid up on the same charges.

Took all of a minute or two to find. This case is being blown up (sorry) because she's a bird and works at an airport. You have no idea 99% of the time when the police raid a house.

As for Gilleard, would you say him and his C18 chums are just very silly and harmless fantasists?

You think football stadiums are not a target?

They could have by naming him. But they'd rather pay a fine than shut off their sources.

Well by zero you actually mean five.

He's a juvenile innit? So the police can't name him or tip the press off to the raid.

No.

What's that got to do with it? The point is there was no plot involving the people who Greater Manchester Police busted in full media glare, followed by GMP keeping the story going for a few days by holding press conferences about how everyone was much safer now, and how they had beefed up security at Old Trafford in response.

What? The only other theories are an accident or negligence. Both theories are no more likely than the terrorism one, and none of the three are ever likely to be proved.

No I mean zero. There are zero stories on 'Copeland and why he'd done it'. There were four giving updates on the progress of the case, and one when he decided to go on hunger strike (presumably he didn't feel like he was getting enough attention.

Look can you just quote me in full or quote the bits in seperate posts? Buggered if I'll mess about with all your flashy breaking them up stuff.

There have been loads charged on this materials for terrorism business, Gilleard's another of them. She's in the news because she's a she.

So is this bint very silly or a harmless fantasist?

Don't remember any OT bust tbh, but if you say it was front page stuff I'll accept that. Got linky?

Don't be silly. One's been ruled in a court of law by an independent judge and the other is based on a newspaper story which has been destroyed in a defamation case. Of course one has more weight than the other.
