genocide of people taking refuge in a church isn't comparable to the "menace of militant Islam"?

Stop being intentionally obtuse. C'mon. Please tell me you understand that the fact we're discussing him in a negative light right now reveals fundamental differences between respective threats of Christianity and Islam. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Pretty sure people talk about threats from Islam in a negative light. Particularly those who have been involved in atrocities such as genocide. Unless Bert and Cranks both have Saddam on their Christmas card lists of course.

</BLOCKQUOTE>

Totally missed it. The point I'm making is that you and I, both residents of predominantly Christian countries, are horrified by Seromba's actionsw. I doubt many ordinary, nominal Muslims living in the Mideast are decrying this situation in Sudan.

Yes? So how is that supporting deportation of criminals? That's supporting deportation of foreign born criminals without dependents - i.e . young men migrating with the intention of becoming criminals. And the thread was not just about criminals, it was about prison populations iirc. The UK doesn't imprison people for insulting the UK. That's a good thing.

Oh and for the record. Athanase Seromba is a Rwandan priest who was charged and found guilty of the Genocide of 2000 Tutsi refugees.

The Tutsis were taking refuge in his parish church, he bulldozed it while they were inside, then shot any survivors dead.

But yeh, the worst thing Catholics do in Africa is stop people from wearing condoms eh!
So he did it because he's catholic, not because he's psycho Hutu? </BLOCKQUOTE>

He was able to take advantage of the situation because he was a catholic, much like the radical muslims do when they do something that we find unstomachable.

Doesn't mean we should be condemning an entire religion based on that but ignoring others. </BLOCKQUOTE>

I think this case shows more about the Hutu vs Tutsi rivalry than anything about Catholicism. I doubt the Pope or pretty much any Catholic priest would support what he did.

Yeah, I well remember the Vatican justifying his actions against the evil Tutsi entity. Or am I thinking of something else?

I picked one up from the airport tonight who was loudly decrying it. But then he's not even slightly ordinary.

Eh? She's foreign born, she has no dependants and she's a criminal so she fits your criteria perfectly which is what you were asked in the the thread.

Kindly point out me complaining about her deportation?

Biggest ****er I can see here is the school getting closed for 2 to 3 months - quite likely it'll never open again.

Then why are you arguing with me? I said you should be thrilled as a supporter of imprisonment and deportation of foreign criminals.

I think the definition of criminal is where we have our differences?
