two shows they should never be messing around with in the schedules are Doctor Who and Casualty.

Either one or the other is always the number 1 rated show all night with the other never far behind.

It's ridiculous that the BBC mess around with the schedules so much to try and shoehorn in these other shows.

I don't see why they can't stick something like Eurovision on BBC2. The people who want to watch the thing will still watch it.

Next 'Doctor Who' to be 'Jossy's Giants' star?

Rumours that David Tennant will leave Doctor Who at the end of the current series have led to a surge in betting on his successor – with a relatively unknown actor called Julian Walsh backed by many punters.

The Sun claim that 37-year old Walsh – best known for playing eccentric goalkeeper Harvey McGuinn in legendary children’s show Jossy’s Giants – has had bets as big as £2,500 placed on him becoming the next incumbent of the Tardis.

A representative of bookmakers Paddy Power told the tabloid: “Julian might not look the part as he’s a bit squat and bald… but we’ve had to slash his odds to 12/1. We fear punters might know something we don’t.”

However, Walsh’s spokesman admitted to The Sun last night that the actor “is bemused by all of this. Nobody has approached us yet.”
