RT this week "Dr Who is a Children's Show"- no you dozy bint it is not
Sorry, but Doctor Who has always been a childrens show. Way back in 1963 it was conceived as a chidlrens show that would be entertaining and educational. Every production team since the original one in 1963 has said they always aimed the show at children and hoped that adults would watch as well.
Probably the only time this wasn't true was in the shows mid-1980s period years when the show was aimed more at 'fans', which is what contributed to it being killed off for a few years.
The show has got to be aimed primarily for children for it to work as well as it does. </BLOCKQUOTE>
well from what she was saying it appears to be limiting the show-maybe they should redefine what they se as a 'kids show' considering there are now 10 year olds with real guns not cap guns.

For those moaning about the BBC messing about with the time of the show then you won't like this - the 7th episode will not be transmitted until 19th May because of the BBCs coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest at 8pm.
So much for Doctor Who being the BBCs flagship show on a Saturday evening...
